"The name of my band is the name of my name." So said Mike Doughty. Great set. A fun way to kick off the festival for us, except it was brutally hot.

We got over to Built to Spill right after M. Doughty, so we didn't get good seats, but they played some great songs.

Wow. The Frames were AWESOME. Easily the best performance of Saturday, and until The Decemberists, they were the best of the festival. Brilliant. Really. We were feeling the pain from the heat, though.

The first band we saw on Sunday. Record setting heat and not a cloud in the sky. The breeze from Saturday was gone and I sweat more than ever before. Rilo Kiley played a great set, though. Really up and fun. And Jenny is wicked hot.

Doves. Rilo Kiley ended a little bit before Doves did, so we got to hear the last couple songs of their set, but I wasn't anywhere near the stage. (They closed with Cedar Room, my all time favorite of theirs). But I got to meet them during the autograph session. Sweet!

The Decemberists. Best set of the festival. They were fantastic. A big, enthusiastic crowd gathered for them. We didn't try to get close to the stage for Arcade Fire, but we heard their entire set. We staked out a spot for Decemberists and were not disappointed.

Wilco started immediately following The Decemberists' set, so there was no way we could get close to the stage. We hung out in the back, drank a beer, then took off to get some dinner, wiping the dust from ACLFest'05 from our feet (and faces, and necks, and arms, legs, hands, etc.) A full day in 108 degree weather had taken its toll.
